The Girl with the Red Hair is a unique film because of the special developing process that was used to lower the amount of color in the picture. Even more than in other films it is essential that the color correction during the 4K restoration is supervised by the cinematographer Theo van de Sande. As far as we know no other movie has used this exact same process, though similar are known. This makes this film unique and we feel it deserves the best treatment we can afford. So your support makes more possible.

The Girl with the Red Hair is an award winning, excellent film that has stood the test of time. It premiered in 1981, but we still follow the difficult choices of Hannie Schaft and enjoy the acting of Reneé Soutendijk in her first leading role. For Ben Verbong it was the first step in a successful career as a feature film director.
